Collins Freight Services provides independent dispatch support for authorized motor carriers and owner-operators. Our goal is to help you spend less time searching for freight, handling broker communication, and planning your next move so you can stay focused on operating your truck.
You remain in control of your business at all times. Every load is presented to you for approval before it is booked.
WHAT WE HANDLE
LOAD SEARCHING
We search for available freight based on your current location, preferred lanes, schedule, home-time needs, and operating preferences. We look beyond the posted rate and consider deadhead, total miles, delivery market, time, and reload potential.
BROKER SETUP ASSISTANCE
When working with a new broker, we help coordinate the setup process and make sure required carrier information and documents are submitted so you can get approved and ready to haul.
LOAD COORDINATION
We assist with communication throughout the load, including pickup and delivery information, appointment updates, broker communication, tracking requirements, and changes that may occur while the load is in transit.
DETENTION & ACCESSORIAL FOLLOW-UP
When detention, layover, truck ordered not used, or other applicable accessorial charges occur, we help communicate with the broker and provide the documentation needed to support the carrier's request.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Collins Freight Services works with authorized motor carriers and owner-operators operating under active motor carrier authority.
We are currently focused primarily on 53' dry-van carriers as we build long-term relationships and provide focused dispatch support.
RATE NEGOTIATION
We communicate with freight brokers on your behalf and negotiate rates with the goal of finding loads that make sense for your operation. Final rates and load terms are always presented to you for approval before booking.
RATE CONFIRMATION REVIEW
Before a load moves, we review the rate confirmation for important details including the agreed rate, pickup and delivery information, appointment times, special requirements, tracking instructions, detention terms, and other load-specific conditions.
RELOAD PLANNING
We do not wait until your truck is empty to start thinking about the next load. When possible, we begin looking ahead to the delivery market and planning your next move before the current load is completed.
SIMPLE PRICING - 5% OF LINEHAUL
Collins Freight Services charges 5% of the linehaul revenue on loads we book for your carrier.
Our dispatch fee is based on linehaul only and does not include separately identified fuel surcharge, detention, layover, TONU, lumper reimbursement, toll reimbursement, scale reimbursement, or other separately paid accessorial charges.
Invoices are issued weekly with Net 7 payment terms.

Collins Freight Services does not take possession of freight payments
You control your truck, routes, schedule, safety decisions, and business operations
Dispatch services can be discontinued according to the terms of your Dispatch Service Agreement
